Finance Operations Manager | Insurance / InsurTech
We’re partnering with a rapidly growing, technology-driven insurance organization looking to add a Finance Operations Manager to its Operations team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who brings the Finance/Accounting fundamentals — AR/AP, cash reconciliation, collections and credit control — but also understands the insurance world. Experience within an insurance carrier, MGA, specialty insurance organization or InsurTech environment would be highly valuable.
This is also not a slow-moving, highly structured finance environment. The team is growing and evolving, priorities can shift, and the right person needs to be comfortable moving on the fly, juggling multiple assignments and adapting as workflows and processes change.
What we’re looking for:
- Approximately 4–7 years of AR/AP, credit control, cash management, risk exchange, or related Finance Operations experience
- Strong insurance industry experience; InsurTech experience is a plus
- Hands-on experience with cash collections, reconciliations, payables and aged receivables
- Strong Excel skills and the technical aptitude to quickly learn proprietary systems, AI platforms, and data-management tools.
- Ability to review ledgers, identify discrepancies and resolve complex outstanding items
- Comfortable working across Finance, Operations, Technology and external/outsourced teams
- Process-minded with an eye toward improving workflows, reporting, controls and overall efficiency
- Someone who can multitask, reprioritize quickly and work autonomously without losing accuracy or attention to detail
- Strong communicator who can build relationships across different levels and functions of the organization
